Passacaille is about artists seeking answers to fundamental questions: What is the message behind the music? How did a work sound during the composer’s lifetime? How can the answers to these questions be made relevant to today’s audience?
After lengthy and thorough research Federico Maria Sardelli has managed to trace, reconstruct and restore no fewer than 18 arias from La Costanza Trionfante, a lost work that bears witness to the Red Priest’s most flourishing creative period. At the head of the Modo Antiquo Baroque Orchestra, and with a cast of excellent soloists Federico Maria Sardelli offers the public the first performance in modern times. A unique opportunity to enjoy and discover a new chapter of Vivaldi’s work.
We asked our artists to reveal themselves in a musical Proust questionnaire. Curious to know where and with whom they dream of recording, what was their first album? Discover their answers here.
